After evaluating our living expenses, we have determined that we can live on $1600 a month. Our rent is $885, we share a car that we have paid off, and we shop at a discount grocery store. We have also decided to stop paying for fun.
My goal over the next year is to find 101 free activities.
Goodbye restaurants, hotels and theaters.
Hello possibilities! Hello swimming at the river, biking, attending street fairs, finally finishing that book that I started, drawing in the park...
Make sure over the year you choose kid friendly activities as well so that once you have the kiddos you won't be short of ideas or feel stuck. You also won't get sucked into the mentality that "my kid need that super-duper expensive new toy" when in reality they would be happy playing with the cardboard box it came in! Plus I am your first follower Whoot!
